Top 5 Tips For Bloggers

Here we go... I did say that I would be back but did not think it was going to be this quickly. Now that my blog is set up, I want to add the following 5 tips for future bloggers.

• Research, what a blog is? what is it's purpose? the available web sites, range of available options for bloggers etc. I read the few links put out by Cynthia our tutor, googled and watched Youtube for instructions and idea's.

• Decide, on the site and then follow the instructions to set up the blog.Then without any fear or hesitation, add your character or personality by changing the layout's, fonts, colour's, backgrounds and pictures if comfortable. Remember that the finished product is "your baby".

• Intro & Postings, say something about yourself so that bloggers can relate to you and your blog. The postings should be relevant and worthy of reading and comment. Postings should be consistent and opinions clear and concise.

• Code Of Ethic's, one should be aware that certain codes need to be adhered to in the world of bloggers. Refer to A Bloggers' Code of Ethics. Always show respect, compassion and sensitivity when blogging and remember that it is supposed to be fun and informative.

• Invitation & Feedback, always invite others to comment on your blog and use feedback to make improvements and if appropriate select the comment as your next topic of discussion. Remember that listening and application will encourage bloggers to keep blogging.
